BOV = Blow Off Valve
Basically we have a recirculating valve. When it opens, it vents the air back into the intake, after the MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor.) Since this air has already been counted, if you have a VTA (Vent to atmosphere) BOV, that air isn't being returned into the system, although the MAF has already accounted for it. That can cause some issues with the car stalling and whatnot. Hopefully that helps a bit.

Not trying to be mean at all or anything... but I'd recommend you sit on the computer for a couple of hours or so using the search function... you'll find answers to many of the questions you have now and will have later... and will find numerous opinions on almost every topic you can think of...

+1 on the HKS RS...it makes the spool and blowoff loud as hell...make sure you get a tune, though...

Go with HKS RS. I've had it for awhile now and it sounds and feels great Right now i'm still on the HKS filter but i'm deciding which I should go with next.

now thats a good idea!
its best to know everything you can before slapping on aftermarket parts. not really knowing what you are doing can cause problems
