wtf? Missed 3rd?

Anyone ever missed 3rd gear before?

I've heard of lots of people missing 2nd...but I swear I missed 3rd today...

I wasn't racing or accel. any harder than I usually do when I push my car.

Nope -- can't say I've missed third recently. I used too until I changed the way I shifted. I now use my palm and push the stick forward instead of grabbing the stick -- just glides right on in like butter

Ive missed 2nd gear before, but never 3rd gear. Maybe u just had a bad handling on the shifter or u let of the clutch too soon. Oh well, it happens sometimes!

Get a shifter. I bought a B&M and all that grinding 3rd missed gear crap becomes a memory.

alright alright alright....after replaying it in my head again, and after calling my buddy John...here's what I really did...

I didn't "miss the shift"...I just double clutched...I guess that's what its called? I didn't know what the action was called.

I was wearing my bball shoes, which i never wear when pushing the car hard, so when I shifted, I didn't let out the gas as much as I should have, due to the shoes...so basically I dropped it in at a higher RPM than usual, but the car didn't buckle, b/c i still felt the clutch slipping into 3rd...just when it started slipping in, it slipped harder than I normally do it, so I got scared and threw it back into neutral, slowed down, slipped it back to 3rd again and it slipped in at 3500. Previous to that, I didn't look at my revs at all...I never do, b/c it feels so natural everytime.

its all about the shoes man!!!!! I really feel retarded now.
