10.35 @ 139 - no nos. Technical details
Guys - I am happy to report that the 2005 season is off to a huge start with a victory today in the Toyo Tires Import Survival Series at www.racewaypark.com and a new record for the fastest Evo 8 without NOS
I was driving the car easy in preparation for the big event at Buschur next Friday - the WRX vs. EVO shootout not wanting to break anything so I think faster times will be comming shortly as I raise up to full boost and launch harder
I have some comments to make regarding the work I have done over the winter and how I am able to make this kind of power all day long in a reliable manner
1 - The Alcohol kit. I am running the same bone stock Alcohol injection kit which I sell and which Buschur Racing sells with the same customer supplied jet and calibration. The alcohol makes mad power, its an oxygenated hydorcarbon so it releases more air to burn and it also cools the charge temps significantly which works like a 2nd intercooler this gives you a denser charge and again more air to burn. The knock resistance is amazing.
2 - Quaife diff - wild!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This sucker is just totaly unreal. Yes - I had to pay retail for it and they did not even give me a shop price for it so I should not even mention it - BUT - having that diff is like a cat with its claws dug into the ground. I know today for sure I am going fast with this diff and I pity any one who has to race me which don't have one ! I think I certainly proved the power handling capabilities of this amazing unit today.
3 - Buschur bigger throttle body - much bigger and better than the works unit I was previously using. Its very favorably priced and HUGE. Keeps stock idel function and throtle feel and flows a full 2 1/2 of air.
4 - External wastegate dump tube - really reduced exhaust restriction 600 plus whp can really benefit from this.
5 - Driveshaft shop rear half shafts - impossible to break, you need those at these power levels.
Finally, special thanks to www.Iveytune.com. Sean Ivey has been my AEM consultatnt on this project and he came through big time yesterday with assitance setting up my base map for my new set up and today with tuning the idle and driveability on the aem stand alone. I ran into a few complicated issues last night on the AEM which really were vexing me and even at 3:00 a.m. Sean was there to guide me through those tricky AEM configuration options. When you are rushing to get ready for a race in the middle of the night having a specialist on a particular ecu avialble is a real advantage.
Today after the race, Sean took a little time to work on my idel and driveability. (It was hard to get his attnetion as some one else kept trying to get Sean to look at his car the whole time - no names!) After Sean was done my evo is ideling and driving almost like a stock evo. I can't wait to show all the people who show up at the WRX vs. EVO shootout how easily my car is starting and how well it idels. Anyone with a AEM which don't run right - Sean is your man - www.iveytune.com

Al let me congratulate you on your record setting passes today, and Winning the first import survival series of the yr. Based on what I see in the logs and you are only running that car at 70% potential. Thanks for the opportunity and exposure in being part of the exploit in tuning the worlds quickest and fastest evo 8 off Nitrous. It will be faster I am 100% certain on this, but I will refrain on calling any specifics.
Also congratulations to Keith loforte of Turbotrix who I have also worked with on ecu tuning in the past, he was doing very well but unfortunately managed to miss a shift in the final and dashed all hopes of taking the win home for Turbotrix.
Congratulations and thanks for a most entertaining day at the races.
Sean
