I just change my pads when the stock ones wear out. take the wheels off and look.
I have ferrodo DS2500, there are awsome. They stop better than stock and last longer.

I'm going on 18k and am still running the original spark plugs.

Wow, 4 oil changes in 6 months? I'm about to hit 6 months and haven't had one yet, since I'm only at 4200 miles. I'll get the free service at 5k miles, but if my miles stay lower than the 15k/year average, I'll start going more often to make sure I get all the free oil changes within 3 years.

Anyway, your plugs should last a very long time. They don't recommend changing them until 100k miles, but you may want to check them if you're running higher boost, messing with AFC/flash, or ever running race gas. Your pads will be worn out when you start hearing them hit the wear indicators.

if you go into the "how to" and check the spark plug removal, the guy plugs look pretty bad after a few miles. i just changed mines and i felt the difference.

I am going to pick up the NGK BPR7ES in the morning cause I hear they are better for modified engines.
