I'm 20 as well, work almost full time while in college supporting the car and I rarely have the time or ability to spend the necessary cash for the wear items that tend to go with track racing, or even the fees associated with track racing itself. Done minor boltons on my car, some out of boredom/circumstance and to date I'd say that I mostly regret having touched the car. Loses some of its aura in modded form IMHO, part of it is as simple as not being able to drive comfortably at anything over 80 with an aftermarket exhaust which is mostly due to our gearing.
I've considered selling the car numerous times because of the little nuisances that come with even light modifcation, as well as my distaste with the whole business of aftermarket modication itself, definitely not an enjoyable process for those of only a semi informed nature (not quite at the level of self sufficiency on all issues) or those of limited financial resources.
At 28k miles with the mild modifcations I've done my hope is that the car would have picked up atleast 4-6 mph through the traps which translates to slightly more enjoyment for me on my daily commute.
