BR350 EVO 8...12.61 at 107.8 mph.
Hi guys,
Wanted to make a fresh eye catching post for this.
Steve took his 150 mile, BR350 EVO 8 to the event this weekend. We advetised, without testing that the package could run 12.7 at 109 mph.
Steve made only two passes with the car just to get an idea and ran 12.9 at 107 and a 12.61 at 107.8 mph.
VERY VERY pleased with this package.
The times were run with pump gas only in the car, full tank, the stock cat that comes with the package too.
I am also impressed with how absolutely quiet this car is. With the stock cat and Magnaflow it is just about like stock.
He is going to wait to get it broken in a little bit more but him and I both feel with a few more passes and break in miles the car will be able to muster up a 12.5 at 108-109 mph.
I see him putting in the 2.5" offroad pipe too eventually and then who knows, maybe we can muster up a 12.4 from it. VERY NICE.
Great job Steve!!

Driver would be a factor, but I think the number of people who could get a stock evo that low from this site could be counted on one hand, and that would be if everything was perfect.
That is like saying, an Evo can run with a 911 Turbo on a closed course, sure, if the 911 was a 'average' driver, and the Evo guy was a seasoned veteran.
I think what he (david) is trying to accomplish is to get a car that everyone, or a vast majority, of folks could sit in and run in the 12's. I am sure David or others could get the setup 12.4 or lower with no issues, but I, nor very few others, have the drag experience he does.
David, kudos on this, great job bringing tuning mainstream. I have great respect for what you, have and are doing, for this platform.

i think the idea of having a car that's already tuned with parts in it goes against the idea of customizing your ride with your ideas and your vision.
it takes all the fun out of working on your own car or even understanding more about your car.
However, it is an accomplishment nonethless.
I like BR stuff. reasonably priced parts, tested and quality checked. It's a good platform to add your own stuff onto it....
but nothing like having a stock car and transforming it into your own thing through research and time.
