Quit hating - however things worked out he's driving an Evo. Now he's just learning some of the hard lessons that come with owning a performance car the hard way.
nnoris - sit down and sort out you priorities and deal with things as you can. It's not easy and not what you want, but that's part of working through life's problems.

CALL AMS!!!! Last time I checked they will install one for around 500 bucks (not including the clutch)!! Even cheaper if you buy the clutch through them!! They are in your city.

Well, you know the saying for engagement rings... 2 months salary. In this case, the clutch and install is your ring... Good luck bro.
It just occured to me that a local guy who just sold his Evo is selling a brand new unused stock clutch setup for cheap... I'll call him and make sure he still has it. PM me and I'll tell you who it is (so nobody tries to beat you to it )

Dump the girl, what are the chances that she will outlast the Evo? Screw prom, If you really want to go to a prom just find a junior and stick with her until next year.
Also, I seem to remember something about a recall on the trans for 3rd & 5th gear syncros, I may be worng on that. But anyway just have them fix it if its recalled and give them a clutch to put in, I wouldnt expect to have to pay the install them. Good luck however. Dont let these ****3rs talk down to you for having an Evo and being 16 just dont be a jerk about it.

hey man, i'm 16 as well... It's good to know that you actually took the car to the track instead of messin around with it on the streets...
if ur parents bought you the evo, they should be well off enough to maintain it. Just tell them what happened man.

I'm 18 and I currently have a Ford SVT Lightning selling it for an Evo this June......Anyone who is telling this kid that he needs a reality check needs one themself. Good for him he works his butt off to afford his car and of course bad things happen. He wasn't prepared for it with some extra cash no reason to bust his ball about it. I hope you get what you need and don't have to spend too much. Why anyone has to get all crazy on this kid is a joke. I worked my butt off to get my truck and if you are that committed as such a young age good for you. You shouldn't make it seem worse than it already is, this is a community we are suppose to help eachother.
