I was wondering what is the best radar detector in the market?

if not the 8500 is pretty damn good too. got my 8500 off ebay for 180

 

V1....had one and had an 8500.....no comparison IMO

I saw a couple months back how the V1 was losing in some categories of radar tests against the others since that new "POP mode" radar came out but the new V1s have POP mode protection so if you buy new, your covered. Beats the **** out of other detectors.

 

V1, another car got caught speeding when my V1 was all lights up about 1 mile away. I always get laser signals but never see the cop car anywhere or don't notice if the directional arrows works with the laser, what gives?

 

there are two things that make my v1 laser false.. gmc envoy rear brake lights and laser distance sensors on all new infinitys. arrows do work so i usually know if its a false. also bright neon lights when directly in front of you (mostly in parking lots)

I have to watch that and see if those infinity's really are giving me those false lasers

I recommend the BEL Vector 985 or they're new latest model. I have yet to get a speeding ticket since I purchased it. Save for on exception, which was stupidity on my part.

 

V1 didnt do anyhting! Arrows dont help just look good. 8500-foo-life...

 

Yes, 2004 was prior to the POP software added to the V1. I would like to see the current V1 against the 8500. I own the 8500 and dad has the V1 and am curious which is better in 2005.

 

I have the current V1 and I love it!!! I feel naked in other cars without it -- saved me so many times already...it's worth it!!!
