Ah, well I was giving you and the others the benefit of the doubt. I thought by saying that most evos were running 13.7-14.1 that you meant the times there were much slower than normal, which would better explain your 13.15@105 with mods.

Since my 13.17@103.89 was on my first try, I would like to think this is a fairly easy time to get (05 only of course) in stock form, but there were no other Evos at the track, so I had no baseline to compare to.

i guess the only way to slove this mystery is to be at the same track and compare, there are to many factors to consider, only a direct comparaison on the same track, same day would help us find out what s going on.

nice numbers###
how much you weight and was the sti 100% stock?
I'm about 170 lbs and my friend is perhaps 10-15 lbs heavier at most. Both cars were as stock as they come but like I mentioned I have the sun and sound package which adds a bit of weight. I removed the spare tire, tools & jack to counter this. My friend's STi had 3/4 tank of gas (+50-60 lbs), the spare tire, tools & Jack (+40 lbs?), as well as a child seat (20 lbs?) all of which didn't help his cause.

nice post. great times! hows the clutch feel now after running at the track?
So far the clutch seems just fine with no signs of weakness on the street. If I were to bring this car to the dragstrip weekly I'm sure I could change that in a hurry.
