Full Roll Cage in my Evo MR for the Track
I just paid a deposit for a custom roll cage in my Evo MR. It is to protect the driver and passenger from side impacts, and also roll overs. But doesn't go to the back of the car like some others do. Kind of like the Cusco 6 point. Well I'm getting charged $1500 painted made out of "chromemoly". Is that a good price or am I paing too much ?

$1500 for a Chromoly cage is a very good price. Just ask a lot of questions and make sure they fit the cage to you, not make you fit the cage. There are a bunch of hacks out there, so be careful!

There are so many variables in pricing a cage it's hard to say. If you are just dropping the car off with the interior intact and you get an assembled car with a 6pt legal cage back, that is a good price.
Is a chassis shop doing this for you? Regardless be sure to inspect the work when it is completed. Read the NHRA rulebook(or whatever sanctioning body you are building the car for) and make sure it complies with there rules. 'Moly has to be TIG welded, all joints have to be welded 360 degrees around if not the joints have to be gusseted, proper base plates, fitment, etc...
