Keey Your Warranty or Just Modify with worrying the repair Cost?

Hi,

Due to the maintenance cost for EVO is so expensive ....

1.) Are you going to keep your car STOCK, so that the dealer will not void your manufacture warranty? OR

2.) You can't wait until the warranty expire and modify your EVO with installing aftermarket parts?

In my opinion if you have the money to mod the car, you should have the money to fix it if the dealership says get lost.

On the other hand some people buy the evo, do a few basic bolt-ons and call it a day.

If you plan on heavily modifying then wave bye-bye to warranty.

I said goodbye to my warranty around 1200 miles when I put my AEM EMS in. Was at 24,xxx when I got rid of it still on the stock clutch and everything was perfect. No complaints. Do what YOU want.

just my opinion but i'd still have warranty around...besides, it takes...what 10-20k? (someone correct me if im wrong) for your motor to be fully broken in...so modding later will yield greater results

Thats what I ended up doing...its a pain in the butt to take everything back and put the stock parts back on...but it got me a tranny rebuild, new clutch, and new pressure plate, flywheel, front bushings....then 4 months later a new 2005 5 speed tranny, and free labor on installing a ACT clutch and Fidanza flywheel...however, they told me that this was all they were going to do...I agreed and so that week I bought a full exhaust system, IC piping, PWR FMIC....etc..... What I did was just keep the mods very basic for the first year and then if everything looks in order and broken in properly then I would go ahead and mod...just my .02....
