Took 1st in my MR at Porsche Autocross!

I took first at the local Porsche Club autocross today!!!! 28 cars....and 15 good competitive drivers . Two Z06's on stickies...one was my previous Z06, a '05 WRXSTi, and a tricked out M3 all were the top competitors. Also, a spec racer Miata.

The really neat news....I only had about 3 hours seat time in my new '05 EVO MR.

Thanks to Robi for setting me up and installing all my trick suspension and springs. Not sure exactly what Robi did under my car.....but it works!!!!! Now I see why everyone who races their Evo gets ahold of Robi to have him set up their car.

Let me tell you, there were several stunned faces at the track today. The Porsche Club autocrosses are 100mph runs at a sheriffs training center. 1 mile exactly. Nobody thought the Evo would be the car to watch, but on my 275/40 9.5" Enkei's, I was driving like Formula One!!!!! Great set up by Robi with my camber, toe, alignment and install. The car hardly pushed and the tail wagged when needed!

I am ABSOLUTELY stunned with my MR's performance! I can't describe the feeling of taking 1st today in my new car. That's unheard of. I was hoping to just learn the car but was able to walk away with top honors with a full second of comfort over 2nd place!!! I can't wait for the next event.

Will send pics of wheels etc..... Video coming!

and who the heck is Robi. does he work for a company or out of his garage. does he have a business or is it hoby. and does your suspension names have brands like tein or cusco? Nice results but your post is pretty vague and seems hindering on bs side of things. 3 hrs driving a just retuned performance car and you take first in an event people had been practicing and training in their cars for such an event. U tell me u just paid a guy witout a lastname or a company money for suspension u dont know and then race with only 3hrs in the seat dont even get to learn the car and come in a 1 sec over next car. Sorry cant buy it
at least EVO Dave is a screen name people know and can get in contact in.

he doesn't know everything Robi did or he doesn't want to tell you, simple as that.
IF you don't know who Robi is then do a search, he is a member here and is sponsored by Buschur Racing and did the setup on David's car for the upcoming CD shootout. If I remember correctly he was also in the USCC or at least in one of the comparos in SCC magazine.
