Some damn morons just don't know the difference between a RS and a GSR.

$23,500 to $24,500 is a good price. I had an offer of $23,600 on my 03 with 36k miles on it that I turned down.

trade in value for that Evo is about $23000, so retail is about 25k. GOOD PRICE!

FWIW, I just sold my 2003 with 13K and a new motor built by Turbo Trix for $25,500.

thank you
mine was an 03' stock silver in midwest with 12k miles, mint condition. I paid 24k even for it back in September 2004.

I suggest offer 23500 max.

my friend just totalled out his '03 EVO... the insurance company gave him $26 grand with 13k miles... no sun-roof... only depreciated $2-3 grand in 2 years... not bad

I was close. I paid $26,900 for my '03 with 11 miles on it. It just came off the truck the night before.

Ironically, some guy bought a used one with like 25K miles on it the day before for $28,500 from the same stealership!

You gotta know what you're doing.

This was back in December of '03 as well.

Definitely offer low...like 22-23K... and go from there.

$26k is the high end of the Bid-Ask spread...usually good insurance companies give you the high end of the spread, b/c they would hate to lose you due to undervaluing a car.

but the Bid end of this spread for this car should be around 23k to 23.5k.

bid/ask spread...I know I'm a geek, I actually work with securities so my life during the day revolves around this stuff..lol

that's a nice area you choose to be involved in very lucrative. nothing geeky about that. lotta shih you can play with while it's lingering in limbo. they actually offered him a lot less, but because of his negotiation skills he was able to bump 'em. this was few days ago... he was gonna try to squeeze for more. lol

now he's just gambling...

in my profession, he's got to cash out now before he pushes it too far, don't get greedy...it's about valuation, not pushing a someone to the brink, market for securities or cars are not stupid...better take a good deal/market price and thank god you didn't get screwed.

yeah, you're totally right, but in this situation, you gotta squeeze. take both.

Now that's toolish. Insurance gave me $27,000 and change for mine when it was totaled last September. It was a tarmac black 2003 with sunroof and carbon spoiler, 22,6xx miles on the odometer.

The next month I turned around and bought a 2004 RS for $25,500 out the door.

Prices vary on location. Unless you live in Wyoming, nebraska or such wheat fields..... I think $25k is a good asking price.
