Question

Why would Al brag about how someone else piloted his car to a faster time.

I am not bragging - I am making a dispute

BTW - I drove my own car that day in the WRX vs. EVO shootout - winning 1st Place and going 10.28 @ 139

After the race I asked Kevin Lawson to try my car and he went 10.18 @ 141.8

He is a much better driver than me and is a professional drag racer so I would expect him to get some good times

My car has current registartion, insurance, full interior including stereo and power sterring and DOT approved tires

I drive it on the road all the time and totally enjoy the experience

and it has a normal 3" Buschur exhuast

I just don't see where they "trivalized your hardwork" by making a simple statement of posting their time and your time, while their time was faster.

Not trying to start anything, but I believe you're the one who downplayed their hardwork by calling BS on an otherwise legit time.

This is all IMO. Not trying to start a tuner battle, I'm just looking at it as I see it.

My point was that the way your car is ran on the dragstrip is not a "street legal" car. It would not go 10.18 on dot approved tires. I was just trying to put the times into perspective as qualified by the original poster's question. That is all.

Thanks for your respectful post and talking time to add your thoughts

I really dont care about all of this - its a joke to me how some shop is claiming a non NOS record with a NOS bottle in the car

My car is going faster very soon.

The semanitics and number bending will end soon enough.

I wish I could understand why you feel a time slip should be * when nitrous is involved yet you can justify alcohol injection as no big deal

You are right of course Alcohol injection is a BIG huge deal when you are running C-16 race gas !!!!!!!

The main reason why I am running it is to show what it can do

BTW - just for future refernce - the AMS car has alcohol injection also

I don't see how this could possibly even be a topic for debate! 10.11 > 10.18 end of story. You may "feel" that your car is the fastest without nos- but the time slips say otherwise.

Future races may hold different results- but as of today you're no. 2.

Well I recall you made 622 on pump and alky. And 667 on alky and race gas and I hope some people can agree.....

So again AL.. at the race when you went a 10.18 was that with Alky also ?????
