I realize there's more to come, but are you sure that's going to be legal for SCCA? The S-curve around the dash, offset of the horizontal brace for the main hoop, and, so far, lack of diagonal brace might be problems.

The harness bar is way too low also.

No, its definitely too low, its supposed to be just an inch below the top of your shoulders.

Any lower will cause spinal compression.

Exactly what I was thinking. Also, that harness bar is too low.

Too bad that cage isn't legal for anything involving any kind of motorsports.

Are those middle vertical bars not straight down? Why is the harness loop so low? Bends in the front?

Who is building that cage? ***** Wonka?

I know this is hard to believe, but builders and tech inspectors sometimes disagree about what's legal. And tech always wins.

Exactly. There's no way in hell that cage will pass tech with SCCA or any other organization. You don't even have a diagonal bar! The main structure can collapse in a rollover. And the harness bar is WAY too low (as others have pointed out). Further, the S-curve in the front stays is just absurd.

Be very careful! So far this cage does not appear track-worthy at all. If the builder insists it will pass tech...DON'T PAY HIM UNTIL IT DOES! Otherwise, you'll never recover your money.

Everyone is correct in all aspects. That cage is far from legal. I saw several other flaws also. Get a copy of the regs and read them over for yourself so you are familiar. The price should also be about 150 per point(6 point etc,). Dont let someone take you for a ride......
