Hi! Kids from Jehue Middle School next to the school I work at kicked in my rear right side panel yesterday. A friend of mine's husband was in a car behind mine and saw them do it, as if the footprint wasn't a giveaway. My Evo wasn't specifically targeted - they got another car too - just walking down the lot kicking cars. ***holes.
Has anyone had this kind of repair done - how much would it cost to bend it out and repaint, or buy a new panel?
Could anyone recommend a body shop for Evos in SoCal/Inland Empire?

try a paintless dent puller guy in the area. I here that they can work wonders!!! It's sure to be cheaper than a body shop.

paintless dent removel wont fix the kink.. its bondo time.. find the bastards and make them or the parents pay.. or go after the school to find these scumbags..

 

That's nasty. The crease in the metal means it will not pull out, it will take some hammer work. I doubt your insurance will pay for a new panel as yours is repairable. Hope you can get those responsible into court since the damge is malicious.

I had a dent in my door that had to be hammered out and painted. I would guess the price would be similar, although yours may be more expensive as it may take more time to pound that dent smooth. My repair cost me $850, including 3 hours to repair the dent and painting the damaged door and blending the paint into the surrounding body panels.

try paintless dent or Wizard dent company... make sure School Insurance pay it for damage or your insurance. I suggest that you need buy New Panel and Refinish beacuse body line is more Labor on Hour $$ prob like 800-1000 buck

 

No Bondo, no pulling, that right there means new panel... mostlikely, it will be about 50 times easier for them to patch it then try to fix it...

 

i don't think the rear panels come off. part of the rear of the car. that sucks though. find those kids and give them what they deserve.

Dont use bondo thats for crappy repairs, use all metal u'll be a lot happier with the results.

 

Hi! We have a description and know the school they attend, but the school has 1600 students...the police of course are none too interested. It depends if my administrator can get Jehue's admin to help us locate them. My friend may stake out our parking lot, given the fact they will be dumb enough to walk by again dressed same.
Honestly, though, I'd doubt we can get their parents to pay, even if we caught them - I'd have to sue and it would take months.
(My husband would prefer to beat the crap out of them, but that wouldn't fly to well with the school district. Too bad!) Though I am very well liked - and have many prior students at Jehue...too bad I am off this month...but when I get back.... just joking, of course!

 

find those bastard kids... make their parents pay for it... then for fun email their addresses and phone numbers to michael jackson... you'll feel much better...

 

The school will pay the deductible if I file an insurance claim, but we don't want to. We just switched insurance companies and don't want our rates to go up, sucks!!! They pay now, you pay later.
