the louder the bov means that he/she could be running more boost with a standalone, so there's no need to vent back.

you know from my understanding, not that I've research this heavily yet, but VTA BOV does relieve a lot more pressure than recirculating BOV.
I think the VTA BOV works the best with a heavily modded, heavy hp cars. I guess only negative thing about the VTA type is that there is no pressure left in the turbo for it to have any sorta quicker spool up.
