Help with Defi Oil P. Gauge...
Okay, I got everything good to go excpet the illumination. I can't get it to dim with the rest of the gauges. I have the Defi boost gauge dimming with the console. I can get the gauge to either stay on with the park lights or I can get it to dim but the opposite of the other gauges. Here is the wire setup:
Orange - Switched 12v on
Red - Constant 12v on
Black - Ground
White - 1) Green/White of dimmer switch - comes on with park lights, but no dim
2) Black/Yellow of dimmer switch - dims, but opposite of console.
To get the boost gauge to dim with the console I have
White - Green/White
Black - Black/Yellow
hmmmm.....thanks in advance...

Here's what I've found out so far using my trusty Fluke meter...
Off the dimmer switch...
Black - Ground
Green/White - constant 12v
Black/Yellow - Variable voltage, but interestingly, as teh voltage increases, the console dims...hmmm
To get the boost gauge to dim with the console, I've essentially connected the ground to the variable voltage and the postive to the constant...I know if I do this with the Pressure gauge it will do the same, however, I'm not sure if the ground for this particular switch is used soley for teh lighting or is also a ground for teh stepper motor inside the gauge and how it would effect the behavior of the gauge...

I had the same issue a few weeks ago with my Defi boost gauge. I had the same weird "reversed" dimming issues. In the end, I just made the gauge illumination stay on 100% when the light-switch is on.
There is a post at https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=80842 which another person says he got the gauge to dim- however I was unable to get the same result.

Can anyone else help us on how to hook these up properly? I saw a post somewhere saying to tap into the cig lighter, but nothing else.
