come on guys... an AUTO Z he's refering to here... that Z will get killed... badly... sorry, i can admit a car that'll take the Evo or STi... the Z is NOT it... and if you can't take the Evo from a roll in on a straight, you're in for it bad once the road twists...
Z's = sexy
Evo = pwnage in all other catagories...
and if you'd have to ask what's faster between an AUTO Z and a Evo, you don't know what you're getting yourself into, and should def end up with a bus pass, because you'll prolly just end up in the trees with either of these cars... ok ok... maybe a Scion Tc will suit you...

It is a very close race for 2003 and 2004 GSR and RS models. 2005 and MRs should pull on a Z with a 6-Speed. An automatic Z is gonna be slowest.

Regardless of what people on here say... be sure to test drive one. I picked buying a Z over the Evo. Personally, it was more like the car that I wanted. The Evo just didn't do it for me... but now I'm straying.
Test drive one. You'll find that you like the get up and go that it has in the higher RPM's. The auto is also the sport transmission (so you can shift too if you want ).
Best of luck with which ever car you decided to get/stay with!!

From a 30mph roll, it should be a close race if the EVO is stock. Get a flash and its a different story. Ive owned both and that is my opinion so take it for what its worth.
I did have the 6M Z, but the auto Z isnt that far off performance wise.

Well I have actually raced a 350 from a 20-25 mph roll and I walked him pretty badly. It was an automatic and all I had was a flash. Had my Evo not been flashed I still would have walked him but not as badly. Like has been advised, you REALLY need to go test drive both of them and decide which one YOU like best. Good luck.

From a dig, I think everyone will agree, that the evo will win... Look at all the available 0-60 and 1/4mi times. However, in order to beat a Z from a roll you have to pick your gear and roll speed wisely so that you are not off boost. That split second will hand you the loosing trophy...
