oil question

i was wondering if anyone here used amsoil 10w30? also would anyone recomend using the amsoil filter or just a new stock filter? please respond i need help.
o one more thing, when i bought my car, it didnt come with a owners manual so i dont know exactly how much oil i should put in. a dealer told me 4.75 quarts but thats seems a little low. so how much oil do i need with a new filter. please help

4.75 qts is right. I buy the 5-quart 10w30 mobile one at Wal-Mart, and there is some left when I’m finished. I Use the stock oil filter. http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...8&cat=0&page=2

There are lots of threads on this oil and filter question, some quote research data. You are guaranteed to be safe if you stay stock but there are better products available. There is a thread on this site with links to a member's site where you can down load a manual.

I use Amsoil 10w30 and love it. IMO is some of the best oil out there. I also use the factory oil filter.
