Huh? I saw no cams helping out any Evo. I also didn't see the right outcome. A properly-tuned Evo with cams and the supporting mods should be putting out ~330whp, which would blow that Sentra out of the water at highway speeds. The Spec-V is a lighter car, but he also had a passenger, so that difference is negligible. The only advantage then was FWD vs AWD, and that doesn't make up for ~60whp.

As for the Evo with just I/E, I'm not surprised. He probably has about the same whp as the Spec V, but has more drivetrain loss.

I still wish I had my Spec-V, got rear ended by a Tahoe and it was totalled. Those are great little cars, and are torque monsters. I had the basics, I/H/E and a few other mods like balance shaft removal, relocated the knock sensor, and it was pretty quick. They run out of steam pretty good in the high end, but they're awesome little daily drivers.

I am not watching the videos but don't underestimate the sentra. It's a 2.5L motor and ther is one local to me putting down 290whp on 9psi and a crappy tune. I still think thge evo should win but it isn't a given.

first of all, the silver evo keeps up MUCH better and even takes the lead for abit[ IE the car with the cams] when compared to the I/E car that gets completly owned.....so its pretty obvious to see how much the cams help.

The evo weighs a good 450lbs more than a spec V...so if WHP is equal the spec will win.

Yes it did do better, but we don't know all the mods on each car. All we know is this guy supposedly has cams, but he still gets walked, which will not happen on a real Evo with cams that are tuned properly.

With ~60 more whp, the cammed Evo shouldn't have been outrun like that.
