The camaro he lost to..was a one far from street legal....and....trailered....I'm pretty sure..well i hope that a car that gets trailered with a crew and all would beat a streetable evo...
Oh yea...No replacement for displacement? Ever heard of a Toyota Supra before?? They only can push well over 1000+ RWHP on a what?? Little inline 6 cyclinder??? Impossible, no NOS!!!!!!!????? If you still dont' believe me...check out the supraforums....

he hasn't changed it because he is trying to get a serial port for his laptop.... otherwise Chris ran well. that blue/lavender evo is kickass... i was only able to run 8.49 @ 82.86 mph with a 1.87 60ft... looks like i'll need some practice to get that 60 ft lower.

Thanks for the props Gabe!!! I thought I was gonna lose the crown for a minute there. LOL.

PS After finishing up on the dragstrip, you can take that same Evo to the mountains and spank your "displaced" azz!

This is why I purchased a Dell Inspiron 600m when I got my new laptop last month. It is the only NEW dell laptop that comes with a serial port. If he is using the AEM EMS, I have heard really bad things about trying to use a usb to serial adaptor... so I hope that isn't what you mean by "getting a serial port for his laptop".

and same with the evo
on the streets, the guy with the deeper pocket will end up winning, even if he had a 1 cylinder motor, lol...spend enough money, and you can make it go to the moon
drive what you like and enjoy it...600 HP is 600 HP whether it comes from a 4 cylinder or 8, i don't see why everyone has to be on one side or the other, that's so gay if you ask me..how whhoever drives an import has the need to be a domestic hater and vice versa, grow up
anyway, his point was how many 7, 8, 9, and 10 second 4 cylinder cars do you see at the drag strip? for that one 600awhp evo, there are about 5,000 v8's around the country with the same numbers...but that's not the argument
also, the whole "take it to a road course" taboo is becoming out played, high displacement cars handle their own...do you know what LeMans is? do you know which car won 4 of 5 years recently? the C5-R...where was the Evo? ah, they're also in a class below (Touring2 field) because they can't keep up with their "omgomg great handling" that you guys live by =) (had to throw that in there to fuel the fire)

I dunno why you brought Money into the entire discussion...if you would see that...neither of us had mentioned money at al...the simple fact remains it was a very UNSTREETABLE camaro. against a streetable evo....
For about 1000rwhp you would have to spend around 12-15g's....Don't quote me to death on that number...i know i'm probably wrong...But btw a lot of the supra's breaking the 1000 hp barrier....are...*gasp* street legal.....Can't speak on many domestics on that part
How much does it cost for a domestic to break 1000rwhp?? Around the same sometimes....For i have another friend with a camaro z28 supercharged...around the 400whp area....He's now going for a 427 (7 liter) stroked supercharged.....he's looking for around 800 rwhp.....wait wait wait...now lets recap...For all the money he will be spending on his 427 S/C camaro....the lucky select few supra owners can break 1000whp...
Deeper pockets?? not always the case.....There are people that spend retarded amoutns of money on cars only to be beaten by a car with many less mods and a lot less spent...most of the time just a case not over all
I don't hate domestics...i have a lot of friends with domestics actually...i have had run ins with a lot of cool mustang owners as well...I love SVT's, Camaro's, Corvettes and a boat load of other domestics....Next time you wanna run your mouth and stereo type...Atleast know who you talking to..otherwise your just assuming ...we all know what that does....
About the road racing thing....Although rallying has nothing to do with it....I don't see many C5's running in rallys....oh wait...they don't....Each is in there own sorta field. per se...C5's dont' rally well....evo's i guess aren't as good at the autocross as those C5's...
Who has been winning in the recent years?? Sure isn't the C5-R i'll tell you that..

Looks like the Audi A8 has been winning the 24 hour races....so....
