Potential Evo Owner, need some advice

Ok so ive been reading my @$$ off on this thread, AWESOME, tons of info.. heres my situation.

I am currently driving a 2001 firebird, moderately modded, mostly suspension because i love huggin curves, i know that the evo will make me $#!T my pants but the price is pretty steep compared to what i can get selling my bird... its a v6 2001 btw...

1. what would be an average price for an evo, say if i found one locally, i really want a black evo... so lookin for average prices
2. what gas mileage do you guys usually see, i dont care what your percentage of driving is, mine always changes, i just want to seee numbers... ive been gettting mostly 20mpg in my v6 firebird..
3. what stuff have you not liked, been annoyed with. im mainly looking for problems with the interior at this point, squeaks and rattles is what i hear but what are the specific issues that you guys have recognized, i want first hand accounts!

thanks alot everyone - i hope to join this group someday the evo seems like a really great vehicle, fun too!

off again to search this forum!

average price seems to be around 25K...you can find motivated sellers that are closer to 20K for a RS....

gas mileage can be from 17-high 20s....

dont know about the squeeks...

I own a 2004 BLACK evo GSR.. With a gt30 turbo i get 22mpg when i'm just driving like a grandma.. if i'm flooring it i get somewhere around 14 mpg. Anyway, stock i got around 21-22mpg when i was driving like any evo driver would.

Used you could find a black one.. probably no problem, for about 24-26k depending on how many miles (the gsr model) and a Evo RS for around 20k. New for the GSR 30k and for the rs, 26.5k

No problems whatso ever as of yet.. the stock clutch goes pretty fast if you like having fun.. plan to replace within the first 5-10,000 miles

~19-20 mpg stock. Mostly city driving.

As far as interior goes...my biggest complaints are:
gauges arent bright enough
floor mats wear out. I dont even use OEM anymore
Squeaks in the IP and in the rear headliner when cold out...only bad when its like -10 out though
The IP seems to scratch easily (IMO)
I wish the steering wheel telescoped out a little...or was set closer to the seat. Still 10000x better ergo than my old stang

Good car though so far
