HKS Dynochart of USDM Evo 8

I just received a dyno chart from an HKS reseller. It was sent to him from HKS. It's too big to attach so i'll just give you the numbers.

Max Power=240.4 Max Torque=253.6

I was too lazy to see if this has been posted already.

Those are some good numbers.

s4awd, email or pm me about the image and I can upload it to the site.

Do you have any info on what dyno this was and what mods were done?

Thanks,

Mark

That sounds pretty accurate with Mitsubishi saying 271 hp. 240 at the wheels means Mitsubishi ain't lyin'.

actually...it would lean more towards mitsu *IS* lying..but the way we'd like them to lie...like on the past couple of evos. :P

of course...this is all for naught if this is with some mods...

and its all for not if its flywheel horsepower, or brake horsepower (BHP)

I suspect it was done on the same type of dyno that says the WRX lays down 190whp stock. LOL

on a chasis dyno it lays down 16Xwhp.....

If so, then that's great of course

With those numbers I'd guess about 295 at the flywheel. Maybe that's why is claiming 0-60 in less than 5 seconds. No use getting excited until this is confirmed stock.

That does sound a bit steep for a US evo....I would think in actual fact that the US evo will have exactly what is quoted 271 horse, going by the torque figures this sounds correct.....I for one will not get my hopes up that the US version will be 300 out the box....On a positive note to acheive this figure will be very inexpensive....say a gear shift knob, pedals, mats, and a guage package

Actually, if the EVO dyno'd at 240 hp, which I am assuming is at the wheels, then the 271 BHP or at the flywheel is pretty damn accurate. When you figure you lose 10-15% of your BHP on the dyno, you would come up with about 230-240 hp at the wheels. Just like the USDM Lancer has 120 bhp but only dyno's at 103 to the wheels. Approx. 10-15% less. So if it has 240 to the wheels, then 271 BHP they advertise is correct. They "Aren't" lying.

If it has 240 hp to the wheels, I would highly doubt it if it has 295 to the flywheel.
