Everything I love and hate about my 05 evo

Well lets begin with my new 2005 Tarmac Black evo which is one of the coolest cars which im totally in love with. Although I give it much praise there are some flaws with the car you will not see or know about when test driving for instance..

The interior rugs and center console of very flimsy and not snug to the ground and recently it has slipped out.

The god damn floormat hook barely works

But the most annoying thing is this road noise right above my head where the winshield meets the head liner. All I hear is this clicking noise which has no random pattern just a clicking annoying sound that makes me have to put music on.

And you'll be lucky if you get 300 miles on a full tank

He said you'll be lucky to do so...

I also get 220 per tank (not all the way dry, but with the warning light on) with mixed highway/street driving with no lack of boosting, but I did hit 275 in a tank the one time I drove 150 miles in a day all highway. I assume if I did a full tank while cruising on the highway with no stops, I would top 300, and I know others have done so, too.

yeah the gas mileage sux but what do you expect for a performance car that comes with almost 300 Hp. Like you guys I normally get about 210 - 220 miles per tank of gas.

Theoretically, tuning out the richness would raise it, but then again, we only run rich ABOVE 5k rpm, so if you spend enough time up there to take advantage of the tuning, then you are automatically going to be getting less MPG.

Below 5k (especially below 4k) we actually run lean, so your best bet for good MPG is to stay below 4k rpm for the entire tank. This will get you over 300 miles in a tank almost certainly.

I believe so, because being tuned makes you run more effeciently, and leans you out in the evo's case, because as everyone knows they run rich as **** from the factory.

Im leaned out a small percentage from about 2k rpm on, up until the boost comes on its gets to a higher percentage( afcII).
