My 6 month policy with State Farm just came up for renewal and mine went up, too.......

a whole $9.00/month for each Evo we have with them.

It did state on there that the Evo had been reclassified.
This is what it said, "The claim experience on your make and model of vehicle has resulted in an increase to your vehicle rating group for comprehensive and/or collision coverage."

So, be ready for an increase Everyone.

Oh, by the way.....My hubby & I are both 32, accident/ticket free and have a few different policies with SF.

i just saved a bundle on my car insurance. I switched to Geico then I stopped payment on the check! Now I have proof of insurance in my car for the police without actually having insurance! Of course if you don't own your evo then you are subject to the lender required insurance. That sucks for you people! Ha!

I'm only paying about $960/yr for full coverage with $500 deductible for a MR. I'll see what happens when my policy is renewed in September.

Our state farm rep told us the Evo was in the highest bracket... although... I can't remember off the top of my head what exactly we pay for the Evo every 6 months...

another factor of your high base rate can be your credit history. Insurance adjusters had made a coorelation between an person's FICO score and responsibility behind a wheel. We can argue all about this, but statistics don't lie.

my dad works for Nationwide Insurance. He doesn't know cars that well, but when he told his co-workers I got an Evo, they looked it up in their bracket system and everyone "flipped out" according to my dad. I think we were up there among the Ferrari's and kitcars...

That's still less than I pay, $3300 a year for a 97 Jetta in CT (Can't wait to see what the Evo will cost)
