i recommend the go fast bits stealth fx BOV. it is fully adjustable. you can vent it to the atmoshpere, all back into the intake, or anywhere in between. i also bought the whistler attachment along with it. that is about 30 bucks. it took me like 10 mins to install mine. it is just a drop in type job. very easy.

i just went out to check to see what the spring adjustment was. if you turn the adjuster all the way counter clockwise(fully soft) then turn it about 3.5 turns clockwise that is where i have mine at. it is great for stock boost. the whistler attachment isn't as much of a whistle as i thought it would be but when i adjusted the spring it made it whistle more. i have a hks evc IV(thought i had a III but found out it was a IV) the more boost you run and the higher the rpm's are the louder the whistle is going to be. i like the way it sounds alot. it is very loud too. what year evo do you have because the 05's have a less sensative MAF sensor and you can vent fully to the atmoshpere with no driveablity problems. i have had mine like this since i put the BOV on with no problems at all.
EDIT: to get it to whistle you have to have the BOV set to vent all out to the atmoshpere.

JDM MR stock like and will hold higher boost! Same as a 1g
I had the Forge one on my first Evo and it surged and bucked even with every spring and shim combo on my mostly stock Evo so I sold it. When I got my new Evo did not even wanna try with the Forge again. From the other Evo owners in my area all that have bought one have said it worked great when the car was stock but once modified it was horrible. But they all may have been defective. I am just glad I got a few $ back for it.
