Yeah I also wonder about this as my spark plug cover is damaged, and I want to replace it with something and I was thinking carbon fibre, but I heard that it shriks in high heat, causing damage sometimes.
Do any people here have any experiance with carbon bits in the engine bay getting damaged?

Does anyone know of some other non carbon replaements for that cover?

if it is a good weave with good prep, you wont have any cracking or warping

for high end stuff, HKS Kansai makes a kit that is awesome

We also now have the dry carbon fiber ones made for us at a more affordable price

HKS Kansai:

more info here: http://z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?model...ne&prodid=1199

the new dry carbon stuff we had done:

more info here: http://z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?model...ne&prodid=1470
and here are the ARC ones - we just got these in:

ARC comes in ti and aluminum - we have both in stock; click here: http://z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?model...ne&prodid=1328

My CF spark plug cover has tiny hairline cracks all through it due to the heat. I am pretty pissed about it, but I should have known. I also want to get the cam gear cover. Can I buy that seperately?

CF only cracks due to overtightening or crappy resin.. you have to make sure it is heat treated if it is under a high-heat area.
