now the LT1 has noticeably less hp, but still has lots of torque. it's possible that it'll be the same from a roll, but from a dig, evo should take it in the 1/4.
those cars dont handle all that bad actually. they feel very different in response on autox, but on road course they'll hold their own. i like them much better than the new boring looking GTO, although it has the advantage of IRS

Sorry LT1 loses to EVO stock for stock, this is a stupid thread, anybody believes differently doesn't really no much about cars. LS1 on the other hand is a better, match stock for stock, should be pretty close from a dig. From a roll an LS1 should pull, but not as bad as everybody thinks, it's no Cobra. On the average LS1 Camaro runs 13.1-13.6@103-106MPH (some run faster and some run slower), while EVOs run on the average 13.2-13.6@100-104MPH (some run faster and some run slower).

Stock LT1's shouldnt be that much of a problem based on their numbers, but I havent driven one, so I dont know. LS1's are animals though. I got to co-drive one at an autox a few weeks ago, and that thing is a beast. The owner modded the car to the limits of stock class, so the car handled pretty good too.
Our cars maybe close to the LS1 in terms of speed, but it sure doesnt feel like it. That LS1 pulled like a freight train. I find it hard to believe that our cars can hang from a roll with that car. I have never raced one, but man do those things pull.
