mine was heavy enough that i had to use a jack to hold it while i mounted it. at least twice as heavy as the stocker.

Def noticed a differance in power. I have the AMS I/C i left my crash bar in due to the amount of miles and traveling i do. as far a weight goes it does weigh more but it is larger and a differant design. as far as using a jack to put the i/c in it wasn't that heavy, it took me less than an hour to install the hardest part was getting the stock hoses back on.

My buschur weighs a good amount maybe 35 lbs with piping? You probably won't notice it on your butt dyno at first, but up top and on a hot day it helps a little. The lower piping is what gives the power boost. The IC is more for efficiency and doesn't really add much if any on stock turbo. But good to have, especially if you live somewhere southern.

Interesting thing about this FMIC thing. I am leaning to AMS, but will also due a White Rabbit turbo, and O2 Housing. So I am hoping for some nice gains ....

Did you mean 25 (5+20)?

Either way, there's more kinetic energy in a single car traveling at 25 (or 35) hitting a fixed object than two cars (one going 5 and the other 20) hitting each other. I believe the equation is KE=1/2 m x V2.

Plus, there are 2 crumple zones in a 2 car accident. LOL

your damn right about that man, god it took forever to put the stock hoses back on to the intercooler piping!! Im just glad its over...but I want to take off the support but dont want to go through the puttin the bumper back on....

As far as feeling gains...didnt really feel any, but then again I ahvent really got on it to tell....its hot as hell today so Im hoping I feel something nicer at night whens its a little chillier

SHAT, you're right. I've gotten my equations screwed up again. My mistake I've mistaken translated momentum in inelastic collisions with kenetic energy. F*ck I do that alot. Anyways putting an IC on is a *****, especially the lower piping. I hate messing with it and have to take it all off tonight and fix a boost leak.

anyway- don't forget that the crash bars comply w/ federal guidelines for 5MPH impacts, unless you have a big tubular steel brush bar in the front, ai'nt nothing going to prevent damage to the front @ 25 MPH.
