a/c and rough shifts?

My favorite is with the A/C on leaving from a light. If you don't slip the clutch it feels like you've got a weedeater motor in this thing until the boost hits. The G/F gets pissy over no A/C as well.

Indeed women and open windows don't mix because it messes up their hair they just spent 20 minutes styling. For certain the car seems to fall on it's **** when leaving a stoplight and if you don't slip the clutch a little more you have that 90 HP engine on an AWD car feeling until boost hits. Shifting is also clunkier and the engine RPM's drop faster between shifts due to the increased loads. Small displacement turbo engines just don't mix well with AC.
Also be aware that the Defrost setting on our cars uses some AC to remove humidity which can really slow your quarter mile times. Once you're up to speed on the Highway the loss of power isn't really that bad so I tend to drive with the AC on if it's 80F + even if it means a little less power. If a situation arises where I need that last 10% of power that it sapped away I'll just turn the AC off for a bit.

You guys are nuts....I would rather be comfortable than roasting for a few HP. Why are you street racing anyways??? Should have bought the RS if you didnt care about creature comforts.
Besides if you need the power, just turn the AC off.

same thing with my girl she hates it when i turn off the ac and lift the windows down. Its too hot here in az,the whole day you pretty much have to use the ac so at night is the best time not to use ac;but my girl still wants the ac on even at night.
