I learned this too. But it still increases the percentage of times you are jerky. The only way to prevent this jerkiness consistently is to use a little more clutch, but that's another drawback. This is my first and only manual car so far, but do all manual cars exhibit this issue?

I leave my AC on almost all the time unless i'm sick. I think you just gotta get use to it.

it the same way here, i live in GA and i put the windows down with 90 degree weather. my wife gets in for 10sec and shes like "im hot" so she makes me turn it on. i would rather ride by myself to the store than take a family trip with the ac on. i cant wait till winter...more power!!

I think the problem is actually small displacement cars. Every 4 cylinder car I've ever driven is like that, but none of the V6s or V8s. With the AC on, my old Eclipse GSX was slow to rev, hard to shift smoothly, and noisy. It's better on the Evo, but still not transparent like my 3000GT.

Or is it just Mitsubishi's problems? Anyone have another brand manual car and would like to chip in?
