Too bad Pinks is about as "real" as Jerry Springer...
In order to be on the show both "racers" sell their vehicle to the show for a negotiated value. The show thereby owns both cars, and at the end the show awards both vehicles to the winner. The loser, having already recieved money from the initial sale of the car goes away happy because he sold his car and the other guy goes away because he got a car and the initial money from the first sale.
Obviously, this kinda takes the whole "danger" out of the whole thing and shows it for what it is...manufactured drama.

what i heard is that yes both cars are signed over, but thats only to make sure that the the winner gets both cars. if they are getting paid or not i have no clue. if they are getting paid that really cheapens the whole thing. still a cool idea to get the tuners to race would be awesome. but instead of a drag race how about a road course... i wonder if the show would be interested in that

There are leaks from the show all over the internet from participants who were let down and unhappy with the way things went.
This same type of stuff goes on with those courtroom shows. You get paid $XXXX for appearing on the show, and the most you can lose is the same amount of money. If you lose, and the decision is for the largest amount, you basically walk away with a few days free in a hotel and lose nothing out of pocket.

For slips would be sick as hell.

Running to put on a SHOW for EVOs is great no matter who win but for pink slip would be idiotic
