Lightbulb Upgrade paths for EVO VIII

I was hoping that some of the great minds in this forum could come up with upgrade paths for the EVO VIII. MAybe have 3 seperate paths for different tuner levels. Like a mild level consisting of bolt ons and faily simple adons. Maybe a 350 horse tune job for the mild. Medium would take it to the next level maybe 400 hoarspower. And high level would be a path to make it the fastest. 450+. This would include the best brands(which bring the greatest gains and durability), in what order to do things, prices, and maybe how it would effect the warrenty. I suggest simmilar to the lancer upgrade path, but with more options. I could research this on my own, but I know there are many of you here, that know more than I. Doing this could help save time and money!!! My goal is to have a mid-low 12 second car. Some may want more some may want less. That is why I suggest 3 different paths. All help with this would be great.

Try www.lancerevoclub.com click on "tuning and sport" then "Lancer EVO club" then "engine". They have a nice breakdown of the power levels with expected gains.

MMSA should offer packages similar to what is done with the new SRT-4 Neon. Three different available packages. I think it is pretty bad that the Neon is available with more hp than the Evo is.
Even one package would be nice. I wouldn't want some over-priced dealer installed stuff though. It should offer a good upgrade in power for a decent price.

Isn't all dealer installed stuff overpriced

They haven't announced prices on the SRT-4 turbo upgrades (as far as I know) I'm sure they'll be overpriced too...

Heres what I already have bought....

1. Apex'i GT Spec Cat Back
2. Apex'i GT Spec Downpipe w/ hi flow cat
3. Greddy Profec e-01 boost controller
4. Greddy Turbo Timer
5. Greddy Type S BOV( the stock one wont hold up if you plan on doing alot of mods)
6. Waiting on the AEM intake

I am expecting over 300 hp from these mods because the piping on the Gt Spec cat back is very very large, which should amount to good gains, especially as i mod more.

Hi,

Buschur Racing has a very good list of mods and the sequence of events. Some parts will be different, however, the general approach should work very nicely on the EVO 8 4G63.

Have fun!

are those parts evo VIII specific, or are they VII parts you are putting on. I have visited alot of sites and all I can find are VII parts and paths.. Are there any VIII specific parts released yet.

Those are parts from Japan for the Evo VIII. I talked to Apex'i and HKS and both said parts for the evo 7 will in fact fit the Evo 8.

Edit: Parts are for the Evo VII, not the VIII(but will fit both)

We will be offering several parts made for the E8 not modified E7 parts. We have some pictures of parts on out site now under the race section, the rest will be up shortly. We are building some kickass parts so keep us in mind...

Very nice site.... Personally I think if your going to upgrade your car, either Lancer or any other vehicle, Don't part it out, save up your cash and just do a nice clean install all at once, such as don't buy an intake, then exhaust and so forth.... Get all the bolt ons at once and it all at once, this way you get parts that work well together and a nice clean install without ruining any part of your car... That's what me and my friends have noticed from our experiences...

I started reading from the beginning without the looking at the date. When I went to http://www.lancerevoclub.com/ I thought to myself was this site made in the 90s? Guess I wasn't far off...
