EVO vs. WRX/STi Shootout Pt. 3
*EVO vs. WRX/STi Shootout Pt. 3 at Englishtown, New Jersey on August 20th*
Wow I can't believe that no one has started a thread on this, especially since they have already started a thread over on NASIOC.com-http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=796991.
Of course the Subaru guys/gals are very confident and talking their usual smack, smack that they have yet to have backed up. Could this shootout be different? Have the Subaru guys gotten better, will they be more competition this year? While I have no doubts, the WRXs and STis should be quite quicker this year, the EVOs have also gotten faster. The WRXs and STis do seem to have one thing going for them, more interest in this years event, perhaps they've grown tired of the EVOs kicking the living sh*t out of them. So who is going to this event? I'm sure AL/Dynoflash and Jeff/Turbo Trix will be there? Hopefully Curt Brown who recently ran a 10.3@139MPH will be there aiming for 9s. What about AMS? What about you fast Florida guys? How about ISP Racing, will your EVO be ready? Hopefully it's a great event, I might just fly my happy *** out to the East Coast just to check this out. The competition should be tougher (Still I think EVOs don't have to much to worry about, overall EVOs should dominate)-

if that f1 dyno is of the subaru that i think it is of, that's nothing to worry about...the car runs like a 12 flat and traps 113-114mph
that dyno overstates numbers by a good amount.

I might go to this. Englishtown is a great track that gleans nice, low ETs, and maybe I'll get to see how many STi/WRXs I can beat with a cat-back. I would love it if they incorporated an auto-x into this competition, though.

Guys - there is also an auto cross WRX vs EVO event that day as well that combines auto cross and drag to see the bets all around car - that along with heads' up drag and braket racing and a car show
I am bringing my Evo to race the Big Valley WRX
Also - I will bring my wife's new town & contry mini van to race the rest of the subarus
