It's normal for a car with a turbo to feel slugish in the heat. It doesn't bother me much I just take it easy in the heat.

sounds totally normal.... its in the low 100's where I am and my evo hates it! If it cools off at night where you live, stay up late and take your sti for a midnight spin... will probably feel more like what you are expecting..

I want to swtich to the Ralliart 160* thermostat to help out with that. I hooked up a OBD II tool and monitored what my coolant temp and IAC temp was and 183 degrees was real common in bumper to bumper traffic and the IAC temp was around 105-111 degrees I noticed after I stopped for about 30 minutes and checked the IAC shortly after I started it back up and noticed it was as high as 146 degrees! At night on the way back home it in the 70's and spool up is much better. It's kind of cool to watch the temp drop like 20 degrees when you get into boost. Are there any side effects other than the price with the Ralliart thermostat? Man a 160* thermostat for a Buick Grand National is $8.95! What on earth is it made out of??? Sorry didn't mean to go off topic.
