I visited the serramonte dealership in daly city, near san francisco today and they told me $10,000 markup! He knows that i know my stuff about the evo and the sti. When i brought up the STI and the pricing, he said hes not worry the cars won't sell, because 6 idiots already bought the cars off them!! They are the head dealership in the district and are going to have 10 cars, i get to see the car for sure next week in the showroom, but $10,000 is WAY to much.

If anyone knows a dealership in CA for cheaper, please tell,,,

IMO even $10 is way too much. Another dealer trying to cash in on the hype...

 

I can't get a hold of anyone to post this up, but Mike Smith Auto in Beaumont TX is selling them for MSRP or less. I went and talked about it this past Tuesday because I had to go get a price on a foglight that was busted out on the eclipse. I told her that dealerships were marking them up and I asked how much they'd go for, and she said 28K and I said your not going to overprice? and she said hell no, they base their business off of word of mouth, so I guess we're lucky lol.

 

A lot of the bay area dealerships are marking up quite a bit. besides the dealership i am going to, the cheapest i could find was a 2K mark-up. I must admit that i didn't try very hard since i already know where i'm getting mine.

 

Yes Mike Smith is one of my best kept secrets here. All the people are very nice. I have the first car White A00 and wizardofoz has the second car from that dealership. Right now I don't think they have any more allocated though. I hope they get more though, since they are really cool.

 

Geez, I talked to them a couple of months ago and they said $5K over. That was already way too much. I thought they were smoking some bad ones and they would never sell many cars at that high a price. Who the hell are these people that are crazy enough to buy it at $10K over?

 

I'm picking my Evo up on March 11. 5 grand over MSRP. I'm in Columbus, Ohio. Gettin the first one in Ohio. Well, the owner is getting the first one, or course.

10,000 over MSRP? There are much better cars I can get for that, maybe even cheaper. The Volvo S60R comes to mind. 2.5L 5 cylinder turbo, 300hp. 295lb ft from 1250-5000rpm. 6 speed, electronic suspension, AWD, luxury interior, and more for 38,000 give or take a few. There is also the STi.

 

Without a doubt. When I got my Z06 from Boby Laymass I took that lame *** sticker off the back.
