It's not just mitsu. I got one from the local Lexus dealership saying they wanted to take my M3 on trade in because it was such an "in demand" used car. I'm assuming they pulled the state records for high end cars and then direct mailed people in the zip codes close to their dealer.

Like anyone would trade an M3 for a Lexus. Please.

Good point. I wouldn't mind a Lexus as a second car to be used as a daily driver. It gets you from Point A to Point B comfortably and quietly without breaking down, but offers no driving excitement whatsoever.

They say they will take my car on a trade in for any other Mitsubishi and give me a good deal basically. They want me to bring my car in to have it evalutated. I wonder if this has anything to do with all the problems they have been having with the Evo8's here and in Japan. There has been allot of recalls. Anyone have any info on this?? Big questions

Yeah the dealer I bought my Evo from said that they called the previous owner back and offered to buy it back from him due to several requests for used Evo's. I thought they were kind of full of it but I guess it's a way to get the person in for another sale.

I bought a WRX 7/02 and sold it 1/04. To this day I still get those kind of letters from the Subie dealership.

its not garbage if you trade your 03 for a 06 IX. obviously, i would do that if they offered a GREAT trade in value and a normal Evo price. if this is the best you can get for your evo in the future, do it. but it is a marketing ploy, just sometimes that ploy is actually a good deal for the consumer.

Got that a few months ago. Screams SCAM, and other manufacturer dealerships do it too. May I suggest getting some canine waste, wrapping it in the letter, and setting it ablaze at the front door of the dealership.
