Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was the sound coming from my overfilled (with crap - bikes, scooters, etc.) garage yesterday when my bike fell over (as I was getting something from behind it)- and you know what it hit....the hood of my Evo. I am extremely pissed. Fortunately or unfortunately - the only person I am can be pissed at is myself (it wasn't one of my kids' bikes/toys/stroller. It is about a two inch long scratch with a slight dimple at one end. My wife can't understand how upset I am (although I my seven year old daughter empathizes with me). The thing that ticks me off most is that I always park far away from other cars and take extra precautions so that I never get door dings - and for all of my extra efforts, I f#ck my own car. I am concerned about getting it fixed - will the paint be a perfect match, will it be done properly...

Man I'm sorry to hear that. I'm in the same situation in my garage. I have a tennis ball tied to the ceiling to avoid pulling my car in too far.
It sounds like a good excuse to get a carbon fiber hood.

Sorry to hear... It seems like owners like us are the ones who always have this kind of stuff happen to us. No paint job will ever be 100% factory replacement, but there are good places that will make it pretty darn close. Good luck to you.

yeah it always seems that no matter how safe you are to stay away from other people when parking or whatever stuff always seems to happen. i am extremely safe when it comes to keeping the evo away from other cars when parked and what not and i always seem to find a new scratch or something on my car when i wash it. oh well, **** happens.

I feel for you. I initially had concern about objects in the garage.
So I bought a good custom fit car cover and started parking the Evo
outside. It's just seems easier and safer that way.

hey dude, i'd get a cf hood...you can probably get a nice one for about the same as the repair will cost. If you go to mitsubishi's body shop, be prepared to spend a bit more $$. however, if you don't get a nice paint job you'll be kicking yourself.
