downshift or str8 brake?

I usually double clutch when slowing down with a combination of brakes. So I guess 50/50 like some of you do. I rarely have to downshift from 5 to 3 unless I stomp on the brakes first. It is also better to always be in gear when slowing down just in case you need to speed up immediately. Don't slow down in neutral.

yea ill agree with that..when i was learning stick at 16..my mom was yelling at me cause i would usually cruise in neutral and then find my gears later...she was always like. keep it in gear. you dont have control if your not in gear..and i tried it and she was right..you just feel like you have more control when you are in gear

I've been heal&toe downshifting for as long as I can remember. It is a habit and good practice for track days.
