I haven't had a bike in a while, but insurance on a bike is exponentially cheaper than a car (well, an EVO).
UMMMMM, i dunno what kind of bike you are talking about. Its rare to see full coverage on a supersport bike(r6, gixxer, 600rr, ect) less than 2500 bucks a year.

I'm thinking of getting an Evo8 so I called my insurance yesterday and asked how much it was going to cost me. I have a WRX right now and pay about $700 for the year so I thought the EVo might be significantly higher but it wasnt. The evo was goign to cost about $800 a year for me. So I am happy it isn't that much more expensive.

cannot imagine paying over $1000 for insurance a year for a car........
I pay $540 for the evo a year with a $250 deductible.
I have 3 cars and a scooter and only pay $120 a month for all 4.

mines right around 3k a year. but im 22 and i was dropped from my previous insurance carrier 3 and a half years ago. had too many accidents (only 1 was my fault) so they dropped me from being a liability and my insurance sky rocketed. it finally dropped 3 years later a significant ammount right before i moved on to my evo.

funny thing was i had a 1999 GS eclipse and paid 270 after the insurance dropped
now i have my 2005 lancer evolution MR and i pay 255 a month

and no im not under my parents so thats probably contributing to it being a bit high =\

Holy cow, how many accidents/tickets did you have to get to Step 29? I'm at 18 due to a major accident, and I thought that was high enough. Don't you lose your license if you go over 30? I hate the MA car insurance system.

progressive online rocks

and yes, boise is a cheap place for car insurance, but switching to progressive about 5 years ago dropped my insurance $475 a year from farm bureau....

I don't understand how, but my insurance dropped $25 a year from my 98 eclipse gs-t to my 03 evo when I bought it in feb04, and our insurance stayed the exact same a month ago changing from an 01 nissan sentra to an 03 murano. about 20k difference in retails and 2 year newer car...go figure......
