Check insurance first!

Anyways I am sure most of you would check it before you bought an Evo but just in case I will say make sure you do.

I have been planning on buying an Evo. I have looked at 03's initially but now have been considering 05's and even entertaning the idea of waiting for a 9.
So today I decide to call for an insurance quote. Now I knew not to expect it to be low. I was prepared for thirty somethin hundered or so especially with my driving record.

Anyways when I heard 5600+ I knew that I would not be driving an Evo anytime soon. Thats over $25000 over the course of 60 months. Think about that! My step is an astronomical 29 thanks to a major accident that cost me 4 points that I am appealing. Even if I win, and I think I will, I still will be at a 25 and 4600 for the year, ouch

Now I do have sombody's name that I can put it in, but this made me realize the true cost of buying an Evo or any new car for that matter.

So with that in mind I am going to take a step back and most likely look to make a real estate investment, save some more cash and wait for the timing to be right.

I want an Evo bad , as bad as anyone and it will surely be my next car. I will just have to wait a little longer

Real estate is a very good decision in any matter at these time homes are skyrocketing, but hey don't feel bad your quote wasn't nearly bad as mine try 7600 yearly and that's with no tickets

Wow that is a **** load of points! I live in mass and pay about $1300 a year for full coverage. If I am correct points in Mass come off your license every 3 years. I think you need to slow down, 29 points in 3 years or less is insane.

This is going to turn into another "I pay $xxxx for insurance" thread...

I haven't had a bike in a while, but insurance on a bike is exponentially cheaper than a car (well, an EVO).
