I've had mine for almost two months. I absolutely love it. Yes, I pay a lot for gas (~$300/mo.) because I drive 125 miles per day, but I look at it as the one thing I allow myself to splurge on. I drive very conservatively 95% of the time and I get about 25-26 mpg. I don't drive the car the way a lot of folks on this forum do. Some may consider that a waste, but I just love the feel of it without having to track it.
I do have one complaint, though. I need a second brake job (warped rotors) and I only have 6000 miles on it. As for regrets? I suppose I could regret it if I thought about it (dollar wise). But it's just such an awesome car. And get the SSL if you can afford it.

Dude bro let me tell you something
Before I got my evo I had some unsureness within me, about whether or not I really wanted a nice cruiser instead. I looked at the G35, sat in it, drove it and thought "wow this is a really well put together luxo ride" . But like you've described, a part of me was drawn to the evo. I wasn't ***** out "OMG ITS EVO TIME!" but I knew something deep within me was saying, you dumbass just get the evo because you KNOW its what you're gunna be happy with. Bam got it and not regrettin a single moment of it.

No regret here,80 miles a day is nothing to me now. Starting next week i will start school again at the same time work. So im thinkin i will drive about that much everyday. I used to worry about how much mileage i put on my car, but now I don't care anymore I will keep this car as my daily driven. I love this car wouldnt trade it for nothing, the only disadvantage is the high maintenece cost that comes with it. With all the stress that comes with college, i figured I might as well have fun at the same time and drive an evo. I have 3 more years left in school, I will definitely buy a new evo 10 (if they don't come out ugly) when i start my career at the same time i will keep this as my daily car.

After 17K miles I sort of regret it! My work is 2 miles away, so I mainly do city driving during the week, except some spirited runs on the weekends. And the suspension just kills you in city driving and gives me barely 180 miles full tank with gas prices over $3/ gallon, its no more fun driving an Evo! YES I regret it! But it has been fun for the almost 2 years I've owned it, which is why I am selling mine
