Any regrets after buying your evo?

Any regrets after buying your evo?
I am still on the fence if I am going to get the evo. I am looking to get the car for a daily driver. I really like the way the car looks, it is fast, handles well, stops well and so on. I don’t like the cheap looking interior and the fact that it seems like it may be a lot of preventive maintenance to keep the car up and running (clutch, tires, mobil 1 & so on).
I know I am comparing apples to oranges with these two cars but I am also looking at the Acura TSX or TL. I really like navigation system, interior, and they are pretty much maintenance free cars. Of course they are slower and don’t handle as well as the evo. I know for a daily driver these cars will prob be a better choice, but a strong part of me still wants to get an evo.
What do you guys think? How many people daily drive their cars and any regrets after buying the car? I am driving about 80 miles a day.

80 miles a day will add up quick. just be prepared for the costs that go along with it. i've spent a good deal on my car since the purchase but i wouldn't trade it for anything....except a 993 TT.

From home to work for me is about 22 miles, and it takes 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. The drive doesn't bother me too much, so no regrets there -- or anywhere for that matter.
Not sure how I would feel about 80 miles a day, it would depend how much of it is stop and go traffic. I have to admit though, in heavy slow-going traffic an automatic would be nice sometimes.
Is getting a cheap automatic beater in addition to the evo out of the question?? Overall, you'll love the evo if you get one!

I used to drive my WRX 90+ miles a day so I was getting synthetic oil changes monthly and gas filled up every other day. An evo will be just like this plus you will go through tires very often. I loved driving my car though but I spent so much money on just regular maintenance that I left that job for a lower paying (and closer) one and I still came out way ahead.

and just as an after thought if you are worried and have to ask questions like what you are asking, and are always worried about gas mileage and stuff like that, i think that maybe an evo is not for you. not tring to offend anyone just my two dimes and a nickel

80 miles a day is alot of miles.. I'll give you my spin on it, 1. You have to really think about what you want a car for, if you want performance and fun while driving then get the Evo hands down, If you want to relax and just enjoy the scenery buy the Acura. when I drive long road trips I love ripping through traffic weaving in and out, it's kinda like a video game with a valentine 1 radar detector as my continue button. I don't think I enjoy the scenery as much because I'm flying through it, not to mention an Evo will make more noise overall than the Acura your describing. If you want to simply enjoy music in your car and have the comforts of enjoying the scenery then get the acura. It won't get you as excited but you'll still look pretty good driving through town with maturity status. If your're interested you could always go for a better interior like the SSL package with those nice leather seats and sound system. It's up to you, and your wallet honestly. An Evo might seem like it's more maintenace but it's really because the people that buy them drive them hard. I'm sure If I drove it like a sissy and didn't boost too much I would have great mileage, my tires and brakes would last if anything longer since they are superior brakes with a larger braking pad surface.
Bottom line, how do you want to drive. Do you want to enjoy passing people up with ease and get excited with the acceleration or do you want to be more mature and drive in comfort peace and harmony.
P.S. one important thing to consider, Evo's don't have cruise control.
my .04 cents

The TSX is the best for Fuel Economy and the TL is a Japaneese Buick!
If you can get 0% I would get a EVO now! This deal should make the decision for you. You will save thousands in finance charges.

I could get an auto beater but then I could not get an evo. Not to sound like and *** but I was going to use the evo or acura (whatever I decide to get) as my daily driver/beater car. I have a few nice expensive cars and also a car I drag race at all the import events. This is actually the closest I have ever commuted to work my past few jobs were over 200 miles a day round trip.
I guess my main concern is all the posts I read about people having issues with their evos. I have heard some bad stories about mitsubishi's warrenty and not really standing behind it.

maintenance is *****, i got quoted 950 $ for brakes change front and back, costed me around 400$ to do them myself. sometimes i am like what the **** was i thinking but then as soon as i get in the car and drive it put a smile on my face.
i daily drive the car everywhere beside the gas prices i got no complaints, best car i have ever driven.
