dude just get your own sub amp...cause if you are going to get a sub..you are going to need pre amps coming from your h/u which i know the non ssl doesnt have. so if you want a sub you will prolly need a h/u, amp, sub. it's not going to be cheap..your prolly going to spend about 500 total.

Which is why I bought the stock sub and amp for significantly less..If I were to go aftermarket, I would not half-*** it, I would end up spending over 1500 on just a sub and amp because I would want the best..By the way the SSL uses the same head unit so either I do not need pre amp outputs or there is already one on there.Thank you for your help though.

i got mine from jerrys mitsu...cost..liek $89 or something...it comes with the hardare...all you have to do is cut the interior carpet and padding for the bottom mount. The sub itself is weak, it's like a 40w sub...im switchin mine, but the encloser is so light and molded for the trun.

Is the stock sub 8"? Anyone know the actual size of the enclosure? Maybe you could buy a better sub and use the existing enclosure to keep the stock look.

hahaha well i dont think you can really use the enclosure with another 8" sub...cause the stock sub isnt that loud so it doesnt need that much room. but if you get a more powerful sub you'll need a bigger box.
ALSO i looked at my stock h/u did not see any preouts..how are you connecting the sub to the h/u? just wondering?
