How to spend $300

No, Swaintech Coatings....the best in the business. It would take my car out for the Kazoo meet and Grattan if I did it now. I really need to do something because I have an exhaust leak from the manifold and it sucks driving because I keep getting an Overboost CEL.
Although I could always bring the Rallifart out.

I'd go for the 10.5T... in fact, I am doing exactly that in a couple of weeks. Getting everything thermal coated is nice, but not necessary unless you're racing. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the main purpose of the thermal coating is to reduce underhood tempurature. A secondary effect is that the heat stays in the exhaust gases allowing them to flow a bit better. So, unless you need the coating, the 10.5T seems like a better choice for the money.

10.5, but do coat the manifold as soon as you can... make sure the manifold gets heat cycled prior to sending it out also. If not, the polishing compound can leach out and lift your coating.

Yes I will heat cycle it and hopefully get it coated sometime this fall. I don't see any reason why I cannot run it uncoated for a few months. I will put the stock one back on when I get it back froma friend so I don't have downtime.
Yes the main purpose of a coating is heat protection although with a tubular manifold you need to redice underheat temops because it will not get heat soaked like the stock manifold but rather radiate more so under the hood. You get the best of both worlds if you coat it and have a tubular header. After talking with Swaintech they said I could paint the header after they coat with a good spray based header paint. Although none of that crappy AutoX stuff will work. A true header spray paint will do the job. The guys at Swain are on top of their game. They know what their doing! They have the best coating in the business and that cannot be disputed.
I ordered the 10.5 housing from Dyno4mance today for $265 shipped with studs. Thats an awesome deal. I will be getting new OE gaskets and plan to remove the radiator and turbo to do the install really clean.
I had an ECU flash although the dealer decided to write their P300 fix over it so I will be seeing about that sometime soon too. I need to call TT to see if they can help me out with that.

Personally I would do a 10.5 hotside and get it coated later on. No reason, just what I would do.
