i've noticed the more upright i put the seat the farther i have to scoot the seat forward to depress clutch and not have my leg straight. only 6', but the idea should be the same, try leaning the seat up, it should force your butt back more, makeing more legroom

Im 6'3" and fit fine, seat is one click from being all the way back. I cant believe you fit in a Civic, though. I can barely drive my friends '93 2-door, if it was manual I would have serious problems.

Jeezy frickin' Chreezy /\

I'm only 6'1" 240lbs, but I sit straight freaking up. No "gangsta"/lazy boy crap here. I fit fine even with a helmet (it's close though)

I Am 6'4 As Well, But With Long Legs And With The Seat All The Way Back And Up Strait There Is Not Much Room. I Can Not Strech My Leg Out All The Way And My Knees Tend To Hit The Steering Wheel. As Far As Heel/toe, I Use More Of The Side Of My Foot On Gas/brake Hope This Helps

I'm 6'5". With the seat one notch forward and the steering wheel one notch low the seating is perfect. No knee contact. I don't think any of us can fully stretch out but driving a manual with a full extension of the legs is a little weird anyway.

another 6'3" person here, and I have no leg or head room issues either. Also I can not stretch my legs out all the way either; but at this height there are not many cars that you can.

I'm 6'1" leg room is not even an issue.

Comfort and drivability also depends on how long your legs
are in relation to your torso.

A 6'1" driver may require the seat to be back further than a 6'5" driver.

You may want to go sit in an Evo and/or test drive one.

Too far forward and my shins bang the underside of the dash. Too far back and my thigh/knee hits the steering wheel when I let out the clutch. If I liked sitting more upright or driving with my arms straight out, I'm sure I would have an easier time finding the sweet spot. As it is, there is a good position for me and I'm a happy guy

I'd have to agree with JW. I'm also 6'3" and find that using heel/toe is a problem with my knee hitting the steering wheel, not to mention my size 13 foot. There is a "sweet spot", but it is very narrow. Of course this is because of how close I feel I need to be to the steering wheel. Left foot braking is even worse because I end up having to place both legs/knees to the right side of the steering wheel. Although you can recline the seat back for more head room, it's not the best position for racing, especially if you have a harness (IMO). I have less than 1/2" from my helmet to the roof, again at what I believe is my optimal position. I also cannot move my head to the left with my helmet on. By adding a steering wheel spacer of 6-10", it may solve all of my fitment problems.

Anyone know of such a spacer?

Dave
