I actually get a place now to do oil-change and other types of service for a lot less. It is located in La Harba. Those guys there helped me a lot on my type R before my Evo and they are now servicing my Evo as well for a very very cheap price.

Send me a PM if you want to know where and do a referal for you.

By the way, they do a very good jobs too. Either it is an oil change, or major "upgrade". =)

Everything I've always been taught about any new car is change the oil at 500-1000, ie right after the break in period.

On 2 of the cars I've done this with, I've noticed a pretty considerable amount of metal shavings. One the other two, not so much.

Why take the chance? It's only an extra oil change.

well mine is 2k miles right now, been a month old Evo and I am thinking my first oil change in this week or so. But I also have some other issues like clutch and brakes, so now I am thinking should I just go back to dealership for checkup and done my oil change at local shop. Or any of you have a very good shop that can check up my brakes and clutch so I can avoid going back to dealership for rip off ??

Because most of America is comprised of whiney little *****es who **** and moan about paying 7$ a week more in gas. And then to compensate they take a 5000-10000$ loss on selling their current car for a new one that gets a whole 7 more MPG! So why wouldn't they cry about an entire 40$ more on oil?

YAY!!!!
