I am being offered a 2005 (GSR) choice of blue, silver, or red for 27,500.00 Then they will take off the 500 Mitsu loyalty and they think i will get another 1000 off for a rebate so it will be 26,000.00

0% 60 month financing also if I want.

ask for 29.5k for evo8 non-ssl WITH hids (or at least the headlights, d2s bulbs and ballasts)
also, ask for a lot of free ****, t-shirts, keychains, free oil changes, whatever.

make sure you are willing to walk out, if you are not, then they will know it and you won't get the deal you want...

how are you all getting GSR's for 29k out the door. Tax is alot bout 2200 for 30,500, so i dont see how you guys are getting EVOs for 29k cuz the tax cost bout 2k, that means you guys are getting them for 27k before tax, which is cheaper the a new RS. not to be mean but does everyone know what out the door means. Out the door includes tax (bout 2000), destination (600), misc. fees (300). Thats a total of bout 3000 so i doubt everyone is getting GSR for 29k OTD cuz that means the total before TT&L would be 26k and dealers don't sell GSR EVOs that cheap, they try to make money, not spend money so you can have an EVO.

just wait, when it comes time to sign the papers it'll be either 0% or the $1000 rebate, not both. trust me, i had a couple dealerships say that. they had posted a price on the internet or verbally offered me a price then i asked more details and they go "oh, it's one or the other, not both"

$31,850+ttl so ~$34k otd with 0% for 60 months for my SSL with really no bargaining or hasseling at all. if i had put up a fit then maybe i wouldve gotten a few hundred off but it wasn't really worth it

I had the same thoughts. Either these guys do not know what OTD means or they are making up their numbers. I really doubt that EVOs are being sold at such a steep discount. Selling EVOs at 29K OTD means the dealer is selling them at a very deep loss.

The dealer I went to only had a used MR, so I told them I was going to visit another Mitsu dealer. Inmediately they offered me to bring an Evo VIII from another Mitsu location, 2 hours later there it was my new Evo VIII SSL on a flat bed tow truck. I paid $32,250 before taxes exactly 1 week ago.

i agree, but also tax laws in each state are different so that can play a part. in CT for example if you trade in a car you only pay sales tax on the difference between what they are giving you for your trade and the cost of the new car. registration fees, etc... can also change by state
