well you are 40+ so you wont be too agressive on the street i assume, but now days i have seen some crazy middle age driver on the road looking for a pick up race. Just tonite on my way home some idiot in a galant tried to race me LOL with his high beam on and move his car left and right behind me. Anyways lets get back to the point/ evo and sti. Sti is a better daily driver then the evo. Few weeks back i tried to purchase my 2nd evo, but my grandma stopped me. She said she want a car thats smoother rider and you have a family to think of, so i say go with the sti.

Either one you choose I think you're going to be happy. I loved my subaru and there are things that I miss about it, then again there are also things that I love about my evo.
I miss the look of the car, I think it drew less attention, I miss the six speed. Can't say that I miss doing anything with the flat4, when I did my injectors in 20 minutes on the evo I almost cried as that's a long job with the subies. .

if u want a family car, neither the evo or the sti are for u. u want something like an s4, m3, cts-v, cars with sime nice displacement so u wont lag around town. i own a 03 evo moded up to about 315whp and when i put 4 people in my car, u can tell its a 4 cylinder. if u have the money go for something bigger with more displacement, u will ba happy u did. now if u are looking for a car for u to s h i t around in then the evo is for u.

Changing spark plugs or trying to determine WHICH head gasket you blew on a Subie sucks. 2x valve trains to break, no room to work, 2hrs of work just to access the motor (IC on top).
Look at a 463g sideways and you'll make more power. Fun, easy to work on.
If you were to autoX or track them, chances are the Evo will flatter your driving more.
If you like to mess with your cars the Evo is the clear choice. If you intend to leave it as the factory intended, the STI would most likely be all around better choice for street/DD.

ive driven the **** outta both
the sti has more body roll, shorter gears and a weaker clutch in my opinion
it looks better outside and inside though
the evo has nicer seats, better handling IMO, but ****ty customer service
if it came down to it, id go for the evo

As an STi owner, I would agree with what most everyone has to say. Some additions, If you want an EVO as a fast family mobile get the '05-'06 MR. It has softer suspension than the GSR or the RS, and soaks up the bumps better.
Still I think an STi is a better daily driver if your not going to track the car much and your not going to mod it much either.
Regarding the G35 coupe...Its not AWD. Only the Sedan is and its not 300hp.
